Nishan-e-Haider Recipients
Naik Saif Ali Janjua
Naik Saif Ali Janjua(23-April,1922 to 26-october,1948) was a Pakistani non-commisioned officer in the Azad Kashmir Regiment. He is known for being the second recipient of Pakistan’s highest millitary award, Nishan-e-Haider, which he was awarded posthmously for his action of valor and gallantry during the Indo-Pak War of 1948.
Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar
Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar was the first recipient of Nishan-e-Haider. He fought bravely in the First Kashmir War in 1948 and embraced martyrdom while leading his troops in an attack on the enemy's fortified position.
